Every year SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration) commemorates this week to remember the individuals, families and communities impacted by overdose. The rising challenge of fentanyl, and xylazine mixed with fentanyl, in the illicit drug supply remind us all that preventing substance misuse is critical work for all of us. There is hope, as our collective effort will continue with education and collaboration within our communities.
